The Waconda Cultural Association, Mitchell County, Kansas, consists of a group of volunteers dedicated to the preservation of history and educating the public about Waconda Springs, our Native American heritage, the building of Waconda Lake and Dam, the geological layout of the land and other local legacies.

Waconda Lake, Glen Elder State Park and Wildlife Areas consists of 13,000 land acres and 12,586 water acres. It is managed by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks. Located along U.S. Highway 24, Waconda is located 12 miles west of Beloit, KS, immediately west of Glen Elder, KS and immediately east of Cawker City, KS.
