Waconda Lake is recognized as a premier hunting and fishing destination. The Glen Elder Wildlife Area consists of 13,000 land acres and 12,586 water acres.

There are many small, locally operated lodging opportunities available throughout the Solomon Valley and Mitchell County. Most all lodges are sportsman and family-friendly and are available year-round.
